If you do not use Apple- or Google-Pay, merchants can redeem your card by manually entering your 16-digit card code into their POS or terminal system, just like entering a credit card number. The card CANNOT be swiped - it must be keyed in manually. Show your card code (from email or printout) to the cashier at checkout.
